Strong, graphic and mysterious, this small piece of Castell Coch, translated from the Welsh as Red Castle, just north of Cardiff is a striking image of a special place. Nestling on a hillside overlooking the River Taff, a castle has stood on the site since 1081, however Castell Coch, Welsh for Red Castle, is a nineteen century Gothic Revival designed by William Burges.
