These canoes appear to be slithering down to the water, rather like a colony of seals in bright suits going off for a swim together.
 
The diagonal line produced by the bows of the canoes, all apparently called Serge by the way, and the edge of the water adds to the sense of movement in this image, entitled Splash of orange, taken on a beach in Manly, Sydney.
