What happens if you reduce a well known phrase to a series of shapes. That’s what symbolism is all about, but does it make it less understandable or more interesting. Less a drab, twee statement and more a colourful talking point. Maybe it depends on the context. By the way, this isn’t pretending to be high art, just a tongue in cheek version of the usual framed artistic and typographic mediocrity.
